Helpdesk/Customer and Technical Support - Toronto

Rôle et responsabilités

Our client is a UK-based software development company that produces a lean manufacturing execution system for all types of industries. The client works closely with their customers and their shop floors to provide a simple, standardized approach to high variety, high complex assemblies. 
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and curious employee to support customers’ technical requirements. The projects will require learning about the customers’ industry and manufacturing styles, followed by designing and implementing a suitable software configuration for their needs. On-site visits to North American manufacturing factories may be required.

Job duties:
• Managing technical tickets,
• Answering Helpdesk calls and providing first tier support,
• Providing remote technical support,
• Learning the product and coordinating with other team members,
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of the software and associated hardware (remote, virtual or cloud servers, integration to ERP systems and support for integrated factory floor tooling),

There will be the opportunity to grow into a product specialist and trainer or technical support specialist.

Exigences et expériences

Qualifications:
• Degree or Certificate in information Technology or Computer Sciences.
• Experience in Helpdesk support in network and /or server maintenance.
• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Project Management experience is an asset.
• Fast learner, willingness to learn new programming languages.
• Self-motivated and willing to work with the team
• Strong customer focus and superior customer service skills.
• Ability to articulate oneself to fully understand a problem and to clearly express the proposed solutions.
• Logical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
